A LITTLE ABOUT ME:

My name is Britney Lohrman and I am 23 years old. I attended Illinois State University and majored in Special Education as a Learning Behavioral Specialist. During my 4 years at ISU, I was president of Watterson Unity, a member of Students Serving Individuals with Disabilities and a Resident Assistant in Hewett Hall. I am currently employed at Washington Middle School.
My biggest inspiration and the reason why I want to become an educator is my little brother, Matthew, who has a chromosomal rearrangement. I want nothing more than to see him be able to succeed in life. Not only him, but other children as well. I know that they can accomplish that with the help of their teachers. I have a commitment to teaching because I know that I am needed and I have an opportunity to change a child's life. I am responsible for their well being and growth as an individual. I know I can make a difference and I am ready to do that!
